In the age of digital technology, which forces parents to restrict access to digital content or social networks to their children constantly and not always in an optimized way, combined with the spiral of cybercrime or violence in schools, many things need to be reviewed.

After the concept of family digital wellbeing, the concept of young people is taking over, as they are once again the focus of society in the making. Some people are moving in this direction in order to improve the climate of trust and the level of security of social networks. A Tunisian living in France had the good idea to innovate, by joining the security aspect of technology to the virtual world and the Internet easily accessible to young people, children in particular, overexposed to screens all day long.

Mohamed Ali Shili recently spoke on French radio to describe his innovative concept, which he calls "digital well-being for young people". The thirty-five year old founder of the start-up KinDeal talks about screen addiction among young people: "Parents are helpless, children are battered and disarmed. This is only the tip of the iceberg. The content being consumed online with unhealthy dangers means that the stakes have become enormous and that's why I founded "KinDeal".

It is intended for young people and parents in France, but will be available for free download on the Google playstore before the end of 2021, according to the founder of the application.

According to its description, it is the sacred book of digital life to guide parents towards a citizen digital life. A sort of digital driver's license, one might say. The application will be launched by the end of the year and will allow the use of positive parental control. The fun aspect is recognized since "it is a kind of prepaid card of screens and if you play well in the use of this application, you will be entitled to a little more time browsing the Internet," replied the interviewer. It's a matter of "accompanying to better manage".

Positive parental control

"KinDeal" is a positive parental control application created by parents for parents, based on the principles of neuroscience and positive education. "Because parenting in the digital age is hard. We designed the best positive parenting app. Designed by parents who have been through these challenges for parents who care about their children's digital well-being, KinDeal has rethought the traditional parental control approach by taking inspiration from the principles of neuroscience and positive education.KinDeal has rethought the classic parental control approach by drawing inspiration from the neuroscientific principles of positive education through interactive video courses to learn the proper use of the digital world. Positive education is intended to serve parental control. The latter is outdated and insufficient, it should be preferred to positive education thanks to KinDeal to teach your child how to use screens healthily.

The new application promotes the digital well-being of the child in order to help him/her to better manage his/her screen time and by making him/her aware of the various cyber threats. Indeed, digital wellness includes the development of a healthy relationship with technology in the long term, which takes on the aspect of an educational tool...

Educational support tool

Instead of spending their connection time on mediocre or useless content, the child using this application will be directed to educational content adapted to their age. They will find educational games, quizzes, tutoring and challenges. During childhood, the brain works at full speed so it is better to feed it with activities that are both enriching and recreational. Goodbye pointless fun, hello useful entertainment. Furthermore, the digital coach KinDeal accompanies parents in the digital education of their children and teenagers. The digital coaching is provided through various training and awareness cycles essential to protect your children from the dangers of digital namely cyberbullying, sexual abuse, addiction, commercial exploitation and inappropriate content.

"The goal is for the child to one day become a successful adult with life skills that will allow them to move forward in the world," ends the mobile app presentation.

That's until we find out what it really has in store on December 24, 2021, when the app is scheduled to launch on Christmas, a Christian religious holiday. Kids want the same things adults do in some ways: to laugh, to be challenged, to be entertained, and to be delighted. So we need to give them access to this world of possibilities by protecting them and ensuring a rational, intelligent and useful use of the web and the digital sphere.
